“My interest in injury rehabilitation arose from my love of sport and my inability to remain injury free. Growing up was a multi sport athlete, competing in baseball, football, golf, tennis and rugby. I learned first-hand the physical, mental and emotional demands of elite performance, after suffering countless bone and soft tissue injuries.

My passion for sports led me to study Kinesiology at Acadia University. From there I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic from the New York Chiropractic College.

I attended honours internships with the Buffalo Bills staff and with the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Carleton University Sports Medicine Clinic brought me on to work with their Varsity Athletes, where I received my first taste of a multidisciplinary environment.

In 2016, I was inspired to start my own practice where I began working with 6 principles of care; FUNCTION, OPTIMIZATION, RECOVERY, TRAINING, INNOVATION & SYNERGY. I created FORTIS with the goal of combining evidence based treatment methods, my background in strength & conditioning with leading edge scientific principles; pain science, nervous system optimization, nutrition, metabolic function, sleep analysis and more recently; epigenetic programming.

I have a special interest in correcting faulty neuro-muscular patterns and strongly believe that treating the nervous system is the key to full and functional rehabilitation.

My clinical approach is popular among athletic populations and I often have the opportunity to consult with athletes of the NHL, NFL, CFL, NCAA, CIS and Team Canada.

Since 2021, I have sat on the Sports Advisory Board for Designs for Sport and have provided coaching in clinical application of biohacking concepts to the health and fitness community.

I choose to remain on top of industry innovations and have obtained advanced certifications in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (Prague School of Rehabilitation), Functional Needling & Acupuncture, Active Release Techniques (ART) and Athletic Movement Assessment. Next, I have my sights set on becoming a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (IFM), further merging the gap between evidence based care and new age scientific advancements..

I call South Kanata my home, where you may catch me ice dipping, paddle boarding, swinging my kettlebells or ripping through the forest with my dog. “
